Ingredient Notes

  • Whole Milk: We’re using whole milk to create a rich and creamy milkshake, but if you’re aiming for a lower-calorie or dairy-free alternative, you could use almond milk, soy milk, or even oat milk.
  • Vanilla Ice Cream: Vanilla ice cream complements the Bounty bars, but feel free to mix things up.
  • Bounty Bars: The star of the show, Bounty bars, give this milkshake its unique tropical twist. However, if you’re unable to find Bounty bars, any chocolate bar with coconut (like Mounds bars in the US) will do. Alternatively, for a homemade touch or if you’re watching your sugar intake, you could add unsweetened shredded coconut and dark chocolate chunks.

Expert Tips & Tricks

Creating the perfect milkshake might seem straightforward, but a few simple tips can elevate your concoction from good to truly sublime. Here are some key points to keep in mind when preparing your delicious Bounty milkshake:

  • Cold Milk: To ensure that your milkshake remains cool and refreshing, use milk straight from the refrigerator. This will also help to keep your ice cream from melting too quickly during the blending process.
  • Blending: Start blending on a low setting to gently incorporate all the ingredients, and gradually increase the speed. This helps to evenly distribute the Bounty bars and prevents the ice cream from melting too fast.
  • Bounty Bars: If you prefer a stronger coconut flavor, you could use an extra Bounty bar. Chopping the bars into smaller pieces before adding them to the blender helps ensure they blend evenly into the milkshake.
  • Serving: Always serve the milkshake immediately after blending to maintain its creamy texture and to prevent it from separating. A thick straw is ideal for this milkshake, as it stops any Bounty bar chunks from getting stuck in the straw.
  • Customization: Feel free to adjust the ratio of milk to ice cream according to your preference. For a thicker milkshake, use more ice cream. For a thinner milkshake, add more milk.

Step by Step Instructions

1) Pour whole milk into a blender.

Storage and Leftovers

This milkshake is best enjoyed right after you make it, but if you have any leftovers, you can store them in the fridge for up to 1 day. If the mixture separates, just give it a stir or a quick blend to bring it back to its creamy consistency.

You can freeze the milkshake for up to 3 months. Once you are ready to serve the milkshake again, just take it out of the freezer, put it in a blender, and blend it until it becomes thick and creamy like a milkshake.
